ALEXANDRA RACING CLUB.
Te Awaumtu Correspondent.
The annual meeting of the Alexandra Hacirrg Club was held at Pirongia On Saturday w hen a full muster of members were present. The annual report showed that the Club had had a prosperous year and that they were substantially in credit. Mr Chris. Berry who has been most energrtic in forwarding the interests of the club resigned his Secretarial duties and Mr A. W. Jones was elected in his stead.
The popularity of the Boxing Day meeting of the Alexandra Racing Club is a matter of envy to less fortunate clubs. The meeting is a very old established one. the first gathering being held on Boxing Day 45 years ago. and has been held annually without a break since. As a sjiorts meeting it has always been a favourite with sportsmen far and near. We wish the club the success they deserve with their 46th annual meeting.
