OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Nominations for the election of Councillors for the various ridings in the new Obata County indicate that a great amount of interest is being taken in the event. Of the seven ridings only one has returned a Councillor unopposed. Mr Angus McKinnon baring the distinction of being elected without a contest for Kururao. The poll takes place on Monday next and the returns wilt be awaited with a great deal of interest through out the district.
