♦ iOwn Correspondent.) Two years ago Mr D. Sullivan gave a most enjoyable evening to his friends at his residence. "Glenavojn" and on Tuesday the 14th inat. a meeting was held of the guest*, that were present on that occasion. Owing to the state of the roads very few were able to attend, but Mr Woof, who was acting as secretary, received a large number of apologies from various people regretting their inability to attend and promising their support to any function that was promoted. A committee consisting of Messrs Bruce, Sayers, Gould, McClenaghan and Sandison. with Mr Woof as secretary, was appointed to make the required arrangements, the date for the reunion being fixed as the 30tb September, and subscription of twenty one shillings. Some delay has been caused to the County election owing to the boundaries of the various ridings not being gazetted. So far only Mr W. Carter of Otangiwai has addressed any meetings
The Nihonibo factory machinery is being overhauled and the factory is expected to open for receiving cream about the 20th.
