The many friends of Mrs Ernest Kerr will be glad to know that under the unremitting attention of Dr. Fullerton she has recovered from her very severe illness. Mrs Korr's health is now thoroughly restored. Attention is drawn to the advertisement which appears in another column wherein it is stated that applications will be received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, from retrenched civil servants or workmen on Main Trunk Railway or Roads Department, who have been dispensed with, for 34 sectonis in the Totoro S.D. under Improved Farm Conditions The blocks 10 to 17 miles southwest of Te Kuiti. A number of sections in the TangituS.D. about 10 miles west of Waimeha Station will be ofTered later under the same conditions. The Minister for Customs, Melbourne, has decided not to advise the removal of the prohibition against New Zealand potatoes, even in cases where accompanied by a certificate of freedom from disease. Attention is drawn to the forthcoming auction sale of trees shrubs and produce to be held by Mr Allen T. Vickers at Hattaway's Buildings, Sheridan Street, Te Kuiti,on Thursday next.
