Conference Projected.

In connection with the question of the liquor restrictions in the district, the Executive of the New Zealand Alliance has been taking steps to acquire information on the subject, and several of the members intend visiting Te Kuiti in the near future to confer wkh the residents. It is intended to hold a meeting of local Alliance members on the afternoon of September Bth, when members of the Executive will be present. In the evening a general public meeting will b« held in the Hall, when an opportunity will be offorded to all and sundry to express their views on the subject, and it is hoped a definite understanding will be arrived at concerning the recommendations to be placed before Parliament.
