TE KUITI RACING CLUB.
A meeting cf the- above Racing Club was held in Hattaway's Sample Roorrs on Thursday evening last, when there were a good number v.resc-r.t. The Chairman explained that the meeting had been called principally to go into the matter of v.-ay; and means, and called upon the Secretary to explain to the meeting what work had already been done on the course, and what it was necessary still to co to complete the work. Mr_ Howarth, secretary, explained that to date the course had been drained, and cleared of ti-tree at a cost of about £4O, and after a tender had been accepted for stumping and clearing fcr £llO. An intimation has now been received from the New Zealand Racing Conference that the registr?tion of the Cub bad been granted and it is hoped that a meeting will be held early next year. A motion was carried that ail unfinancial members be written to asking them to forward their subscriptions. It was decided that the Annual General Meeting be held early in October.
