Own Correspondent. The other evening. Mr Bennett, the Government Health Inspector for the Waikato District, gave a weti attended and very interesting lecture in the Public Hall. Mr J no. Gray officiated as chairman, and in his opening address touched on the value of sanitation to the community of even so smalt a place as Managapehi. Mr Bennett showed several lantcm slides, and gave a very interesting address, explaining matters clearly in terms that all could understand. He was in conclusion, accorded a hearty vote of thanks. —Mangapcbi School. — It is pleasing to relate that at last we are to have our new school building, the tenders are called, and close on August 3rd. That this will be a great relief will. be better understood, when it is stated that 45 children are still daily packed into the 20 x 15 room, the utmost seating capacity of which being at the rate of 10 square feet per child, 30 children.
