Referring to the state of &:ta:rs :r. tr.o district the Bishop exhorted the people to make a loyal effort to have Te Kuiti constituted a parochial district. The place was worthy of it. and should he able to provide a stipend of £2ov a year, and a accent res:aor.cj tor tne clergyman. The present residence occupied by Mr Morse was not n.t tor the purpose, and he trusted the effort? of the parishoners in this direction would result satisfactorily to all concerned. The committee would be able to assist to the extent of £BO for the first year, and a less sum for the second year. Archdeacon Willis also spoke on the subject and gave an interesting account of the rnnanerin which the Cambridge people had succeeded in establishing the church in that centre. The Bishop then exhibited a number of lantern pictures taken at the PanAnglican Congress, and gave some interesting details of the work accomplished at the Congress. In the evening a confirmation service was held in the Church, when ten candidates were confirmed. The Bishop, accompanied by Archdeacon Willis, and the Revs. Fisher and Morse, proceeded by train this morning to Otorohanga, where a confirmation service will be held this evening.
