FOOTBALL.

On Saturday last a trial game between A and B teams was played at Te Koiti to enable the selector, Mr N. B. Lusk, to make a final selection of the team to play against Hamilton on June sth. Unfortunately, members of the Mokaoiti team, who bad been asked to play did not torn, up and a number of substitutes were included in the teams. As a result the form shown was not of the best, anything like combined play being out of the question. However, the game was useful as a practice, and should help thomc chosen to get into their best form for the important game on Saturday ro-xt. On Saturday evening tit; selector made his final selection, which is as follows: Full-back —Burncll; three-quarters— Ron flats, J. Hetct, Tuhcka; fiveeights—Spragg, Moir; half—Black; wing—limes Kerr; forwards Scarancke, Mango, Smith, Dan Gray, W. Rothery. H. Rothery, Coborn' Emergeneies - Howarth, Vause, Silcock, Harris, Pitcon. Some doubt exists as to whether the lock man. Dan Gray.' will be able to play, as be is suffering from airinjuted toe. The foot is to be subjected to examination on Friday, and if it is in a lit state, the player selected will don the jersey. Should Gray be unable to play Silcock is to take bis place in the team.
