At Ohau|>o on the 11 lit inst, we held our AmiualfSali; of sheep and cattle for turnip stocking. The entry comprised 993>1 sbeep and 1588 cattle all in good order. There was a very large attendance of farmers from all parts of thin and the neighbouring districts. About 2000 sbeep remained unsold and with few exceptions the cattle were disposed of. All classes of wethers and good lambs sold well. Ewes in lamb had not many buyers. Forward conditioned bullocks, fat and forward cows, stags, bulls, heifers in calf, and ealves, sold well, the only class that were really low in price being two and two and a-half year steers. Fat lambs 9s 6d to 20s 6d; forward lambs 8s to 9s 2d; store iambs 6s 3d to 7s lOd; shorn ewe lambs 9s; small lambs 5s to 5s 9d; heavy fat iongwool wethers 15* to 16s 9d; prime fat but lighter weights 13s to 14* 6d; forward longwool wethers 12s 6d to 14s; forward crossbred wethers lis to 12*; store wethers 10s to 10s 6d; close wool wethers 9s to 9s 4d; full mouth ewes in lamb 9s to 10s 9d; 2 tooth owes in lamb 14s 6d to 15s; a few pens of big framed forward bullocks £6 13s to £7 3s; but tbe most of the pens of forward bullocks made from £5 5s to £5 16e; nice quality 3} year steers in good order £4 15s to £5 ss; well bred 3 year steers £4 10s to £4 15s; 2 and 2J year steers £3 to £3 10s; at latter figure they had to be decidedly choice; dairy heifers 2| years in calf £3 10s to £4; fat and forwad cows and heifers £4 5s to £5; store Cows 30s to 40s; good calves 25s to 13s; smaller sorts* 17s to 20s.
