MOKAU-WAITEWHENA RAILWAY LEAGUE.

A meeting of the League was held in the Miroahuiao Hall on Saturday last. Mr P. O'Dwyer presided and there was a fair attendance of members. In the absence of the secretary, Mr G. Elliott attended to the secretarial duties, The Chairman explained that the meeting was called to arrange for the distribution of pamphets and maps referring to the proposed deviation. After the matter had been discussed at length, a committee consisting of Messrs O'Dwyer, Elliott, Jackson,--and Howarth was elected to carry out the distribution. It was decided to use the funds of the League for the purpose of distributing the pamphlets. A meeting of the Executive was held after the general meeting for the purpose of arranging matters in connection with the annual meeting which is to be held in tha Miroahuiao Hall on May 24th at 2 p.m.
