At Te Kuiti on Wednesday we peno- ' ed 950 head of cattle of good quality and condition, and 2700 sheep. There | was a targe number of settlers from , all parts of the King Country and the Watkato; and although prices ruling were a trifle lower than usual, sellers ' were inclined to accept, and nearly •very line changed hands. We held a clearing iale near Kihtkihi on Friday on account of Mr G. Mac Kinder, and the live stock, implements and furniture, were disposed of ■ at satisfactory prices. Two£and a half year old heifers due to calve in spring made £3 12s p'd to £4 7s 6d; medium mare, £3l 10s; aged mares and foals, £6 15s to £ls; 2 year old medium colts, £ll 10s to £l3; hacks, £8 to £lO ss.
