MAROKOPA -KIRITEHERE.
(Own Correspondent.) So far three meetings in connection with the erection of a butter factory bave been held—two at Marefcopa and one at Te Anga. Mr P. Rose is Secretary to the movement and Mr J. Wootds, Chairman. A tot of correspondence in connection therewith ban •netted. We have had a visit from Mr Fatten,. Government Dairy Expert, awl MrJcek, representing Messrs Mason. Strutters and Co. These gentlemen. alter going over the district expressed themselves as satisfied that it was suitable for dairying, predicting that ft woatd soon develop into an important industry. Mr Fulton chose a site for the factory, which is situated at Pttnagtown. Maropokpa. This is a centre for Marokopa and Kiritehcre Valley. A guarantee wHI shortly be drawn up and if sufficient cows can be got a cooperative factory wilt be erected to start next spring, but if not. tics a factory will certainty go up the following season.
