+ The Farmers' Auctioneering Company report as follows: — We held our usual monthly sale at Cambridge last Friday. There was only a moderate yarding and bidding was dull. Fifty-six fat and forward bullocks from Hinuera were all sold from £6 to £7 Is; smaller steers £5 2s 6d to £5 7s; fat heifers £4 4s; fresh empty cows £2 10s to £3 16s; 18 month steers £2 14s 6d to £2 19s; yearlings £2 to £2 4s; store lambs 6s; cull ewes 6? 7d; pigs—porkers 22s 6d; slips 8s to 15s. At Morrinsville on Friday, sth inst., we had a yarding of 2616 sheep, and 430 cattle. There was a very good attendance of farmers prepared to do business, and with the exception of about 300 sheep and 90 head of cattle, all were sold, prices however, showirg a decline. Good 2 tooth ewes made from 14s 6d to 16s 3d; small?r framed and black faced 2 tooths 10s 3d to lis 6d; fat lambs 13s id; store lambs 61 Id to 9s 2d; 2 and 4 tooth ewes, mixed, 15s r sound-mouth ewes 10s 2d to 12s; aged ewes, gummies and shaky mouths, 3s to 4s 8d; aged ewes, fair to shaky, 6s to 9s; good framed sound mouth ewes are required and" should owners mark and guarantee these as such, it would-f&y them and save a lot of unpleasantness. English Leiceter rams 1£ to 2gs.; aged Romney rams 10s to 15s; fat cows and heifers ;£3 10s to £4 ; small fat steers £5 to £5 15s; 2& to 3 year, steers £3 17s 6d to £4 8s; 2 year old steers £3 to £3 10s; 18 month steers £2 5s to £2 7s 6d; 15 month steers £2; good calves 24s 6d to 30s; 18 month heifers 25s to 27s 6d.
