On Saturday last the Mangapcebi cricketers paid a visit to Te Koiti and rottthc local team. Luncheon was provided on the ground by Mr Lev jr. and a meat enjoyable time was spent. Tile visitors left lor home by the goods train, and a return match Is to be arranged at Te Koiti at an early date. Play began shortly after the arrival of the express, the local side going to the wickets first. Thanks to the batting of Wallace, Shaw, and Donaldson assisted by extras to the number of 25 the respectable total of 121 was reached.
The visitors then batted, but could only reach the total of 30 in their first innings and 48 in the second, the local team thus winning by an innings and 43 runs. For the visitors Walsh 13, was the only batsman to reach double figures, while Hayson was the most successful bowler for bis side. Following are the scores:■■ Te Kuiti.
