OTOROHANGA MILITARY GYMKANA.
The entries received for the various events in connection with the Military Gymkana to be held at Otorohanga on Saturday next are nt a very satisfactory nature, and everything points to »highly enjoyable day's sport being experienced. Tc Haiti resident* shoutd note that the second passenger train wiH he delayed at Oterohanga until 6.30 p.m. and this arrangement should ensure a good attendance of visitors from Te Kuiti and other districts. In the same issue Charles Barrett describes, with pen and camera, the aeaMrds of the islands of Bass Strait; and Ernest Poole gives a picturesque account of how skyscrapers are built.
