WOOL SALES.
The last wool sate of thf present •arks at InvercargiU was held last Ttoesday, when 4004 bales were offered and practically alt were sold. It was generally anticipate J in view of the nccnt Northern sales, that prices woold be lower, but. considering that there was less than half the quantity offered, and that most of the best clips bad been sold, prices were fully equal to thiw at the January sate. Lower grade wools were fully Jd better. The beat price was obtained for three bales of super crossbred hogget, which sold at lid. He best prices for other sorts weia: Halibred. tOJH; strong crossbred, 9§d.
