Obura Settlers* Association, held 1 on February fetfe, it was resolved to apply to the Commissioner for a post office reserve in Matiere township. ! Also to arrange for public meetings at ! Nihonthov Matiere and Otangiwai. to , elect ten members to a united Obura Committee to arrange fcr the enteri tainment ef some of the Cabinet Ministers who are shortly paying a visit to : this district. Nihenih© and Matiere each to elect three members and Otangiwai (Whenuakura. Mangafcabikatea and Waikafta N«n?th) fnur m«ftbers. The meetings are arranged for Saturday. 13th int. Mr M. J. Dunne will arrange for Nihenilw meeting and Mr L. Bicheno the Ptafismoi and Matiere meetings. We are pleaded to find that the whole district feel? disposed to act unitedly over this matter.
