♦■- Taking advantage of the Minister for Public Works passing through Strat- "-■ ford on Friday last, Mr Jennings, M.P., interviewed • him re the StratfordOngarue railway. The Minister said he would visit the Ohuradisrtict, along with the member, before next Parliament, and he would then decide the question of deviation. The Minister has an open mind on the question, and will do what is right and just after personal inspection. He told the member that three or four of these legacies have been left for him to decide.
