The New Zealand Loan and Mercan- 1 tile Agency Company report as follows: — At Ohaupo on Tuesday we yarded ( over 400 hea lof cattle, amongst them ( being 230 calves. Three year old 1 steers made £5 to £5 16s; 2 to 2$ year do., £3 9s to £3 lis; 18 months steers, £2 10s to £3; 18month old heifers, £1 15s to £2 ss; well done calves, £1 4s to £1 6s; empty store cows, £2 2s to £2 fat cows, £4 7s 6d to £5 ss; cows in fresh condition, £3 5s to £3 12s 6d; dairy cows in milk, £3 to £4 10s. At Hamilton on Thursday we penned D 7 beef, 543 fat and store sheep, 70 store cattle, also pigs. Small fat steers made up to £6 15s; fat heifers, good quality, £5 7s 6d to £5 8s; fat cows, £4 6s to. £5 ss; growft steers, £6; 18 months to two year old steers, £2 15s to £3 7s 6d; 2 year old steers, £3 17s; 18 months old heifers, £2 Is to £2 6,3; calves, £1 2s to £1 3s; store cows, £1 13s to £2 10s; do. in fresh condition, £3 6s to £3 15s. Sheep: Fat ewes, 10s to lis; store do., 6s to 6s 6d; fat lambs, 10s 6d; store do., 5s Bd. Pigs: Slips, £1 Is; weaners, 12s to 14s 6d. At Ngaruawahia on Friday we had a good yarding of well-bred cattle, and these being wanted by several buyers, all sold under keen competition at most satisfactory prices. A line of 60 3J year old steers from Waingaro realised from £5 10s to £6; 2to year old steers, £3 17s to £3 19s; 18" month steer, £2 12s to £3 4s; 18 months heifers, £1 17s to £2; best calves, £l, Is to £1 8s; ordinary, 16s to 19s; empty store cows, £2 to £2 10s; fat cows, aijd heifers, £4 7s 6d to £4 12s 6d; fat ewes in wool, 14s. We held a sale jat Pirongia on urday, but owing "to the busy season less than the usual - number of cattle came forward. These were required - by buyers present, and all changed hands at prices ruling at late sale. Small fat heifers made £4 10s; store cows, £2 to £2 16s; 18 months old steers, £2 10s to £2 13s; best calves £1 to £1 5; ordinary, 15s to 18s; forward wethers, lis 6d to 12s 9d.
