TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the above board was held on Thursday evening last. There were present: Messrs J. B. Teasdale, chairman, D. Bockett, W. Kirkham, and M. Laurie. Letters were read from Mr A. Swarbrick, solicitor, re the saleyards loam Received. A letter was received from the District Traffic Manager, saying that he was arranging for the mid-day passenger train from the King Country to stop at the Kawa station two days in the week, viz., Tuesdays and Saturdays. The matter of framing bye-laws was h<'ld over. Mr James Roddio, Te Kuiti, wrote saying thai, as he had forfeited his two seel ions he did not consider himself liable for the rates demanded.—Receded. Ahicr, 6s 6d; Waikalo Argus, £6 12s; Department of Health, 4s sd; Elmsly and Son, Is; Gilford and Dunkley, ls8d; H. Harnesß £f> 7s; C. T. Rickett, 5s Id; Waikato Times, 18s; Melville and Co., £l6 13s (id; South British Insurance Co., £1 7a; W.J.Thompson, £4 15s 2d; Souter and Co., £7 16s. It was decided to notify Messrs McGuire, Hinton, and Reynolds to cut the fence on the Station road.
