TE AWAMUTU TOWN BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the above board was held on Thursday evening last. There were present: Messrs J. B. Teasdale, chairman, D. Bockett, W. Kirkham, and M. Laurie. Letters were read from Mr A. Swarbrick, solicitor, re the saleyards loam Received. A letter was received from the District Traffic Manager, saying that he was arranging for the mid-day passenger train from the King Country to stop at the Kawa station two days in the week, viz., Tuesdays and Saturdays. The matter of framing bye-laws was h<'ld over. Mr James Roddio, Te Kuiti, wrote saying thai, as he had forfeited his two seel ions he did not consider himself liable for the rates demanded.—Receded. It was decided to notify Messrs McGuire, Hinton, and Reynolds to cut the fence on the Station road.
