STOCK SALES.

Messrs Alfred-Buckland and Sons report as follows : On Monday, at Wellsford, we had an average yarding of cattle and sheep, which sold at late values. The Waiuku Yards on Saturday were fairly well filled with stock. Competition was fair; almost everything yarded sold. Springers made from £3 17s 6d to £8 10s; empty joung cows, £2 10s to £3 15s; fat cows and heifers, £4 to £6 2s 6d; three to four year old steers, £5 7s to £5 17s; two and a half to three year olds, £4 8s to £5; 18 months to two year old, £2 16s to £3 12s 6d; yearlings, mixed, £1 lis to £2; calves, 18s to £1 ss; smaller, lis to 15s; small pigs, 12s 6d to 18s 6d; ducks, Is 2d to Is 6d; fowls, Is 4d to 2s 6d. A quantity of furniture brought usual prices. On Wednesday at Helensville a full muster of cattle was disposed of at full values. Beef: Cows and heifers, £4 5s to £5 15s; fat steers, £7 to £7 10s; three and a-half year old steers in condition, £5 4s to £5 10s; 18month steers, £2 16s; empty heifers and young cows, £2 7s to £3 18s; yearlings, £1 14s to £2 2s; calves, lis to £1 7s; dairy cows and heifers, £4 to £5 12s 6d; fat wethers, 13s 3d; ewes, 10s; small pigs, 9s 6d to 12s 6d. At Remuera on Thursday, dairy cows sold from £3 10s to £6 12s 6d; dry, £1 10s to £4. The adverised store steers sold from £4 17-5 6d to £5 13s; other stores at late values. Young and fat calves, penned in moderate numbers, brouhgt from Is to 60s, according to age and quality; 78 sold. There was an average yarding of fat cattle. Prices were firm at last week's quotations. Steers ranged in price from £5 to £lO 12s 6d; cows, £3 to £7 17s 6d; 305 sold. There was again a full muster of both mutton and lamb and no alteration in values. Heavy wethers sold from 14s 6d to 16s 3d; lighter weighcs. to 14s; heavy ewes, to 14s 3d; others, to 12s 6d; 1732 sold. Lambs, in extra large numbers, sold feelv at late rates, ranging in price from 7s to 17s; 1103 sold. Pigs, yarded in average numbers, were easier in value for all classes.
