WAIKATO HOSPITAL.

Official Opening. The opening ceremony of the new wings of the Waikato Hospital took place last week. Unfortunately the weather conditions were not favourable and consequently the assemblage was not as large as it would have been had the day been fine. In the absence of the Hon. George Fowlds, Minister for Health, Mr H. J. Greenslade, M. P., was entrusted with the duty of openingjthe building. Speeches were made by the Mayor of Hamilton (Mr J. S. Bond), Mr Primrose, Mr W. Day, Mr Greenslade, Mr Atkins (Architect), Mr W. A. Graham, Mr Bignell (builder), and Mr John Fisher, Chairman of the Waipawa County Council. Mr Aktins presented Mr Greenslade with a Golden key as a memento of the occasion. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea, and most of those present took the opportunity of being shown through the new buildings.
