Dalgety and and Co., Ltd., report; ifcg follows: Vl We held a stock sale in the Te Kuiti yards on Wednesday 4th inst., and were favoured with a very good attendance. The yarding consisted of 1800 sheep and 350 head of cattle. Bidding was spirited for the sheep and specially for lines of ewe hoggets, but cattle were not in great demand, the , greater number of them being passed in at auction, although we were successful in disposing after the sale privately. Prices realised were as follow Romney Lincoln woolly ewe hoggets, 15s 6d to 16s 2d; J-bred ewe hoggets, 12s 6d; full mouth ewes and lamb 20s; 3-year-old steers up to £5 3s; dairy cows up to £5; springing - heifers £3. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report as follows: — We held ouv spring cattle sale at Ohpupo last Tuesday, 27th inst., and yarded 2,560 cattle and have to report a most successful sale. There was a large attendance and bidding was brisk throughout. Five hundred and sev-enty-six well-bred 2J to 4-year steers penned, were required and sold readily; 3£ and 4-year steers in forward condition, £6 Is to £7 10s ; same age, backward condition, £5 Is to £5 ss; 3-year steers, £4 15s to £5 ss; 2 to 2ft-year steers, £4 to £4 10s; 18 months and 2-year steers, £3 Is to £3 15s; choice yearling steers, £3; others, £2 4s to £2 6s; mixed sexes, 37s to £2 2s; empty 18 months and 2-year heiftfrs, £2 7s 6d to £3 2s; yearlings 4nti«l6 months heifers, 36s to £2 10s; fat heifers, £5 10s; fresh condition empty cows, £3 4s to £3 17b 6d; store cows, £2 15s to £2 19s; fat hoggets in wool, 15s 6d; ewes with lambs, 18s 9d; forward woolly wethers 16s 6d. At Rangiriri on Wednesday, 28th inst., we yarded 1200 head of cattle,and have again to report a'most successful sale. There was a large attendance, and prices the same as previous day at Ohaupo. 500 two and a half to fuor-year-old bullocks were penned and were the best lot we have yarded at Rangiriri for some years. There was keen bidding. Forward conditioned 4year bullocks, £6 7s to £7 6s; four f/esh conditioned 3 to 3j-year steers, £5 to £6 2s; 2\-year steers, £4 10a to £4 16s; 18-months ot 2-year steers, £3 to £4; yearlings and 15-mnoths steers, £2 2s to £2 16s; mixed, 38s to 395; 2-year empty heifers, £2 9s to£3 ss, yearling heifers, 33s to 38s; springing cows and heifers, £3 5s to £5; hoggets in wool, 10s; wethers,l4s. , At Morrnsville last Frday, 30th ult., we had a full yarding of both cattle and sheep—ss7 cattle and 1192 sheep. There waa a large attendance, prices being about the same as late quotations* 98 beef penned were all sold. Fat steers, £8 to £9 ss; lighter sorts, £6 3s to £7 weighty cows., £6 5s to £6 16s; others', £4 15s to £5 10s; 18 months 2-year steers, £3 to £3 15s; yearlings and 15-months steers, £2 to £2l 7s; mixed yearlings, £2; empty 18 months and 2-year heifers, £2 13s to £3 12s; empty store cows, £2 8s to £2 10s; cows in milk, £6 to £10; others £3 10s to £4 10s; springingcows, £6 to £7 10s; 2-year Polled Angus built, 5 gns.; yearlings, 2gns.; yearling Shorthorns, 2£gns. to 4gns. Fat and forward wethers, 15s 9d toJl7s; shorn wethers, 12s to 13s 2d; fat ewes, 13s 9d. The New Zealand Loan and Meppatytile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows; — At Hamilton on Thursday we penned 80 head of beef mostly heifers and cows, and 200 store cattle, also sprinr v ers. Fat cows, heavy weights made J £6 to £6 lis; lighter weights, £5 £5 lis; fat heifers, £6 7s 6d to 12s Gd; empty store cows, £3 3s; i empty 18-months to 2-year-old heifers, £2 6s to £2l Is; yearling heifers, £1 lis to £2; mxed yearling, £1 14s to£l 16s; springing heifers, £5 to £5 ss; dairy cows close to profit, £8 5s to £8 10s. Sheep, 400 penned; fat ewes in wool, 17s; wethers in wool, 18s and 18s 3d; do., shorn, 14s 6d to 16s 6d; woolly hoggets, 10s 4d. At Ngaruawahia on Friday we yard-, ed over 500 cattle, mostly Vearlings of good quality and condition, and a few pens of 2J to 3-year-old steers.
