Opening Ceremony.
The opening of the Main Trunk Railway, which is to take place to-morrow at Manganui-a-te-ao Viaduct will be attended by representatives of the T e Kuiti Railway League. The special train from Auckland will reach Te Kuiti at about 2.30. a.m. on Friday and arrive at the point of opening at 7.50 a.m. The special train from Vifellington will arrive at Manganui-a-te-ao at five minutes past eight, when 'tfife driving of the last-spike will be performed by the Hon. Hall-Jones. Rnfo.
special trains will run through ~to Auckland after the ceremony, paßsiog through Te Kuiti between one and two o'clock no Friday, and arriving <at Auckland between 5 and 6 p.m. Arrangements have been made for the representatives of the Te Kuiti Railway League to be present and the party, which will consist of Mr Jtr. Ormsby, (Vice-President), Messrs Philips, Fortescue, Lorigan and Johnson, (members of the Executive) will be accompanied by Mr T. Hickman Secretary of the Mokau-W aitewhena Railway League.
