The petition circulated by the Te Kuiti Railway League in favour of having Te Kuiti made the connecting point on the Main Trunk line of the Stratford-Main Trunk railway has been numerously signed, and was forwarded to the Minister for Pupiic y/orks on Tuesday. At a meeting of the Executive it was decided to have the League represented at the official opening of the Main Trunk Railway, end to interview the Minister and urged the putting through ol a survey of the proposed deviation to Te Kuiti.
