TE KUITI ODDFELLOWS.
Annual Ball.
The Oddfellows' Ball, held in the new hall, Te Kuiti, on Thursday evening last, proved an unqualified Despite the inclement weather, fully l one hundred couples were present, &nd£ with a first-clais floor and music everything was in order for a most enjoyable evening. The duties of M.C. were shared by Messrs McColl and Chilcott, and were efficiently fulfilled. An excellent supper was provided, the catering being done ,;by Messrs Lever Bros. . Several visitors from other centres were present among them being Messrs West, Alexander and Dormer from Te Awamutu, and , Mr and Mrs Morgan from Otorohanga. The function can undoubtedly take rank as the social event of the season and the hall was brilliant with tho beautiful costumes of the ladies. Among the noticeable costumes were the following:— Miss Beaufort, pale pink muslin trimmed with satin and lace; Mrs. A. C. Johnson, black silk; Mrs MeColl, black silk; Mrs Zobel, pale lube sequinet veiled in black; Miss Boddie, white silk trimmed with chiffon; Miss Bond, white silk; Mrs Darrow, green satin; Mrs Julian, black silk relieved with geranium; Miss Duncan, buttercup; Miss Brown, crushed strawberry; Mrs Cross, pale blue silk and cream laee; Miss Willis, pale pink muslin; Miss Chilcott, pale cream with blue tinsel and spangles; Miss McDowell, pale green; Mrs E. Kerr, black silk; Miss Kerr, cream; , Miss Morrissey, cream; Miss Doherty, cream silk; Mrs Boles, pink muslin; Misa Melling, cream silk; Mrs Moiling, black; Miss Hetet, cream; Mrs White, grey silk; Miss Williams, cream; Miss Jordan, cream; Mrs Mussen, brown silk; Mrs Morgan, Otorohanga, black silk; Mrs Phililps, brown velvet, gold trimmings; Mrs Chilcott, grey and cream; Miss Price, white silk gold trimmings; Miss Barnett, heliotrope and pink; Mrs Barnett black; Mrß Verrall, cream and black; Mrs Murrell, white Bilk; Mrß P. Cotter cream and brown; Mrs R. Cotter, cream and blue; Mrs Lineham, black voile skirt, pale green silk blouse; Mrs Troup,black; Mrs Murphy, black; Miss Dalton, black velvet; MiBB Agnew, blue and grey; Miss Brooks, pale blue; Miss Rattray, pale blue.
