CHURCH OF ENGLAND.
A meeting of the Church members was held in the Church of England, Te Kuiti, on Tuesday evening last, to consider proposals for a suitable welcome to the Rev, G. Morse, newly appointed by the Bishop to take charge of this district. After some discussion it was thought best tq hold a social on a date convenient to the Reverend gentleman. For the purpose of discussing suitable arrangements, and to appomt sub-com-mittees to attend to the various mattersnecessary to make the evening an enjoyable one, a meeting of all those interested will be held after evening service on Sunday next, the 20th inst., when it is particularly requested that all who have the welfare of the Church at heart will be present. Mr Morse is expected to reach the colony on the 23rd inst., so that he should be in Te Kuiti towards the latter end of the month.
