THE LAST POST.
A very large number of our townspeople attended the funeral of Harry Hetet, jum, as p. means of expressing their sympathy with i.lie parents and family' of the deceased, who was a very promising lad. During: last Easter encampment a cold was contracted, which young Hetet was unable to shake off, and after every care and attention he was called to the last resting place last Saturday morning. His comrades of the N.Z.M.R., under'"Corporal J. Hetet, constituted the firing party, and after the very impressive and touching burial ceremony was read byMr Mitchell, three volleys were fired, and the Company's bugler sounded the soldiers farewell-—"The Last Post/' We offer to Mr H Hetet and family our deepest sympathy in his bereavement.
