The Farmers' Co-opgra^ujeAuction-eering Company, Ltd., report as follows :- /At the Hamilton Horse Bazaar on Ahe 4th and sth inst., we held a special horse sale, and offered 285 horses and a large contractor's plant, vehicles and implements. For the latter there was very good competition and fair values were obtained. Heavy draught horses were not in such good demand as earlier in the year but hacks, light harness and active medium draught horses sold well. Heavy draught entire £45; heavy draught geldings £35; aged heavy draughts £23 to £27; good class medium draughts 4 and 5 years old £3O to £35 10s; horses of same class but lighter weight £2l 10s to £27; good hacks and light harness horses £ls to £22; cobs and light hacks £5 to £10; heavy waggons £l3 to £ls; tip drays £lO to £l3; buggy £33 10s; express £l9 10s; spring carts £8 to £8 10s; single buggies £8 10s to £l6; harness »nd sundries at usual rates.'

On Saturday, August Bth we held a clearing sale near Shaftsbury, on behalf of Mr A. Kneebone. Thirty dairy cows £4 15s to £7 17s 6d; yearling steers and heifers £2 10s; younger cattle 29s and 30s; trap mare £l6 10s; aged trap horse £8; unbroken light horse £9 15s.

At Morrinsvile on Friday, August 7th, we held our usual monthly stock sale and yarded 63 dairy cows and heifers, 128 head of fat cattle and 210 mixed cattle and 1060 sheep. There was a good enquiry and with the exception of a few pens of sheep practically all stock was sold. Best dairy cows £6 to £9; others £4 10s to £5; best heifers £5 to £6 15s; others backward £3 10s to £"4 10s; best fat steers £7 10s to £8 7s 6d; lighter weights £6 10s to £7 ss; fat cows £6 to £7 2s 8d; fat heifers £4 lis to £5 ss; 2J year steers £4 8s; 18 months to 2 year steers £2 12s to £3l 2s ; forward cows and heifers £3 17s to £4 ss; store cows £2 17s 6d; 2 year heifers £2 4s; fat wethers 19s ot 19 3d; fat ewes 14s 6d to 17s 3d; small store wethers 10.; hoggets 9s 6d to 10s. On Thursday August 6th, we held a clearing sale on behalf of Messrs McCarthy Bros., at their farm Waitoa. All stock and implements were in the best of order . Forty-one dairy cows averaged £7 9s; 52 calves and yearling's from 22s to 41s; 7 medium draught horses 4 to 8 years old made from' £25 to £39; 2 light draught fillies rising 3 years £24 10s each; draught foal £ls 10s; draught brood mare £3O; hacks and cobs £lO to £l9; rotary plough £ls 10s; Cambirdge 3-oller £2O; sulky £10; other implements and suudries at usual prices. AtOhaupoon Monday, the 3rd inst., we held -our usual fortnightly stock sale and annual dairy cow sale. We had a very large yarding of cattle 860 head of all descriptions ; fair competitions and prices up to those lately ruling, with the exception of calves and yearlings, this class being slightly lower in yalue. The dairy cows and heifers were a good lot but in most cases rather out of condition, and nothing effects the sale of dairy stcook more than this. Best cows £5 10s to £7 17s 6d; others £5 downwards; best heifers £6 to £7; others £3 10s to £4 10s; 122 bullocks off turnips were required; these in forward condition made from £5 7s 6d to £6l ss; more backward sorts £5; well bred 2-year store steers £3 10s to £3 17s 6d; IS months steers £2 17s 6d to £3 2s 6d; empty cows £2 to £2 15s; good calves up t0".£22 6s ; bulls and stags £3 10s to £3 ss.
