NATIVE TOWNSHIPS.

A conference is to be held at Te Kuiti on Tuesday next between delegates from the Native townships of Taumarunui, Otorohanga, and Te Kuiti. The object of the gathering is to discuss the disabilities under which the townships are labouring, and to make recommendations to the Government in view of the proposed legislation with regard to the townships this session. The conference is to open at. 11a.m. in order to allow the Taumarunui delegates to return by the express train in the evening.
