ACCIDENT AT TE KUITI.

- ♦ An accident occurred at Te Kuiti on Wednesday afternoon, whereby Mr J. Hetet, junr., sustained a slight injury. The contractors for the new hall were hoisting the heavy roof beams of the building into position by means of a winch, and Mr Hetet was assisting in the work. When the strain came on the upright spar a peg, to which one of the guy ropes was fastened, pulled out, and. the upright and girders crashed down. Mr Hetet was struck by one of the timbers, and sustained injuries about the hip. Doctor Zobel was soon in attendance, and attended to the sufferer, who was conveyed to his home on a stretcher.
