The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report ! On Wednesday, at Rangiriri, we yarded over 806 head of cattle. A good attendance of buyers came from Te Kuiti, Cambridge, Paterangi and neighbourhood, although the rough weather•retarded the bidding at the commencement of the sale, with the exception of a few pens of grown steers, all were disposed of. Three to four-year-old steers were at lower values than in Waikato, and sold at from £5 5s to £6 6s, 2%-year-old steers £4 7s 6d to £4 18s, 2-year-olds £3 ios to £4, 15 and 18-month steers £2 4s to £2 ios, mixed yearlings £l 7s 6d to £1 15s, fresh-conditioned cows £3 7s 6d to £4, fat cows and heifers £5 to £6 ios, store cows £l ios to £2 ss, empty 2-year-old heifers £1 12s 6d to £2 2s, 3 to 4-year-old bulls, £3 ios to £4 15s, 125 store wethers 14s 6d, fat ewes I2s 6d. At Ohaupo, on Tuesday, the advertised number of cattle werebrought " forward, and all sold at the hammer or afterwards. 3% to 4-year-old steers realised £6 7s, 2 to 2ji-year steers £3 ios to £3 16s, yearling to 18 months steqrs £2 2s to £2 15s, yearling to 18 months calves 18s to £1 is, fresh-conditioned cows £3 los to £3 18s. On Friday, at Cambridge, we yarded 470 head of cattle. Buyers were present from Te Kuiti, Waingaro and surrounding districts, and a good competition ruled throughout, only a few small calves remaining unsold. The beef pens contained 80 odd headj and all sold at the hammer or afters wards at ruling prices. The best steers realised from £8 ios £9 I2s 6d, lighter weights £6 15s to £7 Ids, prime young cows and heifers £5 lOs to £6 16s, light weight heifers £4 2s 6d to £4 15s, aged cows £4 to £4 lis, fresh-conditioned cows and heifers £2 ' ]/s 6d to £3 16s, store cows £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, aged cows £l 5s to £l 17s 6d, fresh-conditioned steers £4 15s to £5 7s, 2-year-old steers £3 lOs to £3 16s, 15 to 18 month steers £2 9s to £2 14s, strong good calves £l 3s to £l 6s Gd, others 16s to 19s, small calves 9s to 13s gd, 3 and 4-year-old bulls £3*o £4 15s, good dairy cows at profit aJMH to £7 15s, heifers £5; 126 fat sheep 16s 9d to 17s 9d, aged ewes inlamb6s 6d. Pigs in brisk demand; slips,l2s 6d to 16s, small pigs 8s 6d to l}s. On Thursday we held a clearing sale near Rangiriri, on account of Ms » J. Mclndoc. Dairy cows, to'calve ift 1 the spring, made £3 15s, yearling steers £l 8s; ponies, £2ss to £0 J dray, £/ ios; harness and sundries, at usual prices.
