TE KUITI POST OFFICE SITE.

+ It is stated that a further complication has arisen with regard to the post-office site at Te Kuiti, the Native owner having refused to accept the amount previously agreed upon, for the section in Rora Street. A short time ago Judge Browne, President of the Maori Land Board, and MrLouch, Public Works Engineer, after inspecting the silo and conferring with the owner, recommended the purchase of the section by the (iovcrnment for £250, which price was agreed to by the owner. It is understood that the latter has now refused to be bound by the agreement, and unfortunately a further delay in acquiring a much needed post-office seems inevitable.
