WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
+- A meeting of the Waitomo County ., Council was held at Te Kuiti on Monday last" There were present: Councillors Lusk (chairman), N. I." 11 unt, I loffman, Williamson, Scholes, T. Hunt, Loveday, Ormsby and Johnston. FENCED ROAD. A complaint having been received with regard to Mr Wiley's fence / blocking Oteoteo road, it was decided, on the motion of Cr Hoffman, seconded by Cr Ormsby, that Mr Wiley be requested to remove his fence across the road.
It was suggested that Mr Wiley could apply for permission to erect a swing gate. SANITARY MATTERS. Cr Ormsby explained the position of the sanitary service at Te Kuiti, and it was decided to authorise the procuring of a hundred sanitary pans from the Southern Cross Company, Auckland. The Chairman and Cr Ormsby were authorised to sign the* contract for removal of nightsoil at Te Kuiti. It was also resolved to authorise the road to the nightsoil depot to be made, and to have a temporary shed built, and a well sunk for the use of the contractor. The estimated .cost was £25, which will eventually be charged to the Sanitary Rate. COUNTY BOUNDARIES. The Clerk was instructed to write again to the Kawhia County Council asking for a reply to a former communication with reference to the Hauturu and Kawhia-Pirongia roads, which constitute a portion of the boundary between the two counties. RK-A HI USTMKNT OF RIDINGS. The question of re-adjusting the boundaries of the various ridings was introduced by the Chairman, and considerable discussion ensued on the subject. Eventually, on the motion Cr Williamson, seconded by Cr J illusion, it was resolved that tie ( hairman and Crs Ormsby and Hotfr man be appointed a committee to - consider the boundaries, draw up a scheme of re-adjustment, and submit same to next meeting of the Council.
