OTOROHANGA.
The Government Carpenters and Painters are now busy at the railway precincts renovating and renewing the station buildings, which will have the effect of brightening the appearance of that part of the township. There arc several new buildings in course of erection here at present, and the township bids fair to become a place of some importance in the near future. It is proposed to form a Dramatic and Glee club here, and it is to bevi*< hoped the project will be successful as we have many dramatic and musical enthusiasts i.i the township. The concert given by the Otorohanga Glee Club at Puketarata recently, unearthed much latent talent. I am pleased to have to report the arrival here of the timber for the three bridges on the Hauturu road, namely : the Turetea, the Mangahoue and the Whahawhaka. These bridges have been in a bad state for some time, and Mr Burd, chief Road Engineer, is to be commended for the energy he has displayed in order to facilitate -the rebuilding of them, in the face of the numerous calls on his attention frotn 'll parts of his wide and scciiored road district.
