Te Kuiti Sports.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir.—Last year we had, I think, one of the best day's sports yet held in Te Kuiti, and up till now only a few have interested themselves in a similar function for this year. The committee have a splendid balance in hand and the least some of our local residents can do is to liven up and arrange for another day's sports, with even more attractions than last year. I, for one, do not expect the Secretaries to be worried by trying to get another meeting, until such time as others in the township express their wish to hold sports, and also their willingless to help in the carrying out of such, a function. Some of us have been here for a number of years and trs yet no sign of union has been shown in our midst, and as we are apparently going to remain, surely we can set aside one day in the 365 when we can join in a little amusement together. Trusting some of our mere enthusiastic citizens will take this matter up.—l am, etc., OLD SPORT.
