LIBERAL AND LABOUR FEDERATION.

Aria Branch. A meeting of the Aria branch of the Liberal and Labour Federation was held last week, when there was a good attendance. Various matters of interest were brought up for 'discussion, and a strong committee was appointed to make arrangements for entertaining the "Premier and party, on the oceasion of Sir Joseph Ward's visit to the King Country. It was suggested that the entertainment should take the form of a picnic, to be followed b3 r a banquet. It is intended to get the Premier to present the Charter to the Federation during the course of his visit. The Aria branch of the Federation has now a membership of eighty-five, and it is likely that the number will be considerably augmented in the near future by the amalgamation of the Paemako and Te Kuiti branches. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President. Mr E. Moore ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs J. Buntain, J. O'Sullivan, and F. Sims. The committee appointed to make arrangements ifor entertaining the Premier and party include : Messrs R. Gardiner, E. Davis, J. Collins, F. Hearn, R. Wallace, J; Dollimore, G. Parkes, S. Williamson, A. Morgan, W. -Malone, D. C. McDonald, R. O'Connell, D. Finnigan, J. W. W. Seymour, A. Johansen, G. Hutchinson and W. Welsh.
