LAND BOARD ELECTION.
Considerable Interest is being taken in the King Country regarding the approaching election to fill the vacancy on the Auckland Land Board. The Otorohanga branch of the Farmers' Union discussed the question freely at the recent meeting of the Branch, and on Monday last Mr J. B. Teasdale, J.P., of Te Awamutu, was nominated for the position by Messrs H. M. Quin and C. Cater, of Otorohanga. Mr Teasdale is widely known and has long been identified with this district and the Waikato. He has also been intimately connected with public bodies for many years past, and his knowledge of local conditions and the'requirements of the settlers on Crown lands in the district, render him eminently suitable for dealing with matters which come within the jurisdiction of the Crown Lands Board.
