MANGAORINO ROAD.

Special Loan to be Raised

A mooting of the residents on the Mangaorino road was hold at Tc Kniti on Saturday last. There was a good attendance, and the question of ways and means necessary for having the road in question put in a proper condition, was fully discussed. The Mangaorino is the main road between To Kuili and Olorohanga, and is now largely used hy settlers within reach of Tc Kuili. 'Up '<> within a few chains of the township the road can bo negotiated without great diflieulty though there arc several bad patches. After a general discussion the meeting decided in favour of raising a loan for the purpose of metalling the road, from the bottom of the hill at To Kuili lo Mr Bay ley's property. Messrs Boddie, Snowden and Cornish were appointed a committee to arrange details. An estimate of the cost of the work is to be obtained, and it is proposed to apply thiough Ihe Wailomo County Council for ;i special loan to the necessary amount, the " thirds " on the sections to go towards paying interest.
