<> The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile .Agency Company report as follows : - On Wednesday, August 21 si, (lie Company had a very successful sale at Matamala, when everything was disposed of. About 600 head of store cattle and dairy stock came forward, store cattle scliing very readily. Fat and forward 5-.vear-old steers realised from £5 15s (o £7, 2-ye;ti-old steers £3 12s 6d to £4 7s 6d, A number of horses realised good ])rices. Pigs were also offered, wcaners making 14s and slips l 5s to 1 /s. At Hamilton, 011 Thursday, August 22nd. we yarded 70 prime fa! steel's and fat cows, for which competition was brisk throughout. Good steers realised from £8 16s to smaller ones £6 <)s to £N, cows near profit £5 5 s 1° £'<>. A number of pigs sold well, weaners realising 10s 6d to 13s, slips 14s to 18s.
