CONCERT AT TE KUITI.

The concert arranged by the; Rev. R. Mitchell, in aid of the Congregational Church, was.held on Wednesday evening in Mr Uetet.'s hall, Te Kuiti. Mr J. P. Ilooton, on Auckland, acted as conductor, and was assisted by five other pcrfornuT:;, who arrived from the metropolis by the express the same afternoon. Punctually at 8 o'clock, Mr Mitchell, who acted as Chairman, announced the first item, andiiii doing so apologised for the unavoidable absence of some of the parly who intended being present, but hoped the audience, would accept the programme which they were about to commence. The following' programme was then gone through : Pianoforte duet, Messrs Ilooton; song, Mr J. Simms ; i|iiarlette, "Sweet and Low," Mrs Peace, Miss Wood, Messrs Simms and Wood ; song, Mrs Peace; oboe solo, Mr A. Ilooton; song, Miss Wood; quartette, "(), Hush Thee, My Baby," Mrs Peace, Miss Wood, Messrs Simms and Wood; pianoforte duet, Messrs Hooton; humorous sketch, Mr Wood; song, Mrs Peace ; oboe solo, Mr A. Hooton; song, Mr J. Simms; song, Miss Wood ; humorous sketch, Mr E. Wood ; quartette "Good Night, Beloved," Mrs Peace, Miss Wood, Messrs Simms and Wood.- "God Save the King."
