OBITUARY.
The death of Mr William Turner, at Te Kuili, on Tuesday nighl, lasl removes another link in th.' chain which connects the old order of things in the King Country with (he new. The deceased was one of a family n\ : eleven, and a half-brother lo Mrs J. T. Hctet. In the early days of the \Yaikato war, Mr Turner aeled as guide to General Cameron, and saw many stirring episodes in connection with the campaign. Mr Turner had attained the allotted span, his age being given at 73 years.
