STOCK SALES.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, report as follows : On Tuesday, June 18th, at Ohaupo, we yarded 340 head of cattle principally fresh-conditioned steers, and 18month to 2^2-year steers. Competition was brisk throughout for all classes, every pen being quitted at the hammer at satisfactory prices. 2% and 4-year fresh bullocks £6 to £6 18s, 3-year steers £4 14s to £5, 2% year steers £4 4s to £4 lis, 18-mouth to 2-year steers £2 8s to £3 10s. _ According to quality and condition mixed yearlings £2 to £2 3s, yearling to 15-month steers £2 ss, 15 to 18month heifers £1 14s to £1 18s, springing heifers £4 to £4 10s, heifers forward in calf £3 to £3 10s, woolly lambs lis Id.
At the Hamilton yards, on account of Mr D. Morony, on Wednesday, June 19th, we held a clearing sale of live and dead stock. A large number of buyers were present from Matamata, Te Kuiti, Otorohanga, and surrounding districts, and we report a most successful sale. The 11/ dairy cows were young and in condition, and sold at from £6 £7 lOs, a few backward and aged cows £3 lOs to £4, heifers due to calve in August £4 5s to £5, others £2 I/s 6d to £3 los,_fat and forward young cows and heifers £3 to £4 9s, empty 18-month and 2year heifers £1 18s to £2 lOs, 18-month steers £2 Bs, bulls £2 to 4% guineas, 580 ewes in lamb 15s 3d to 16s Bd, sows and litters £2 to £2 lOs, draught mares £37 to £43 ics, draught geldings £l9 to £37 lOs, hacks and buggy horses £8 5s to £ls, unbroken harness colts £5 5s to £9 lOs, D.F. plough £l4 lOs, hay rake £9, mower £l7, plough harness £l lOs to £2, set single buggy harness £6 lOs, double do. £6, sulky £l2 ss, milk cans £l Is to £l 3s. The reaper and binder, farm, waggon, and milking machines are for private sale.
