TE KUITI TENNIS CLUB.

The annual general meeting of members of the above club was held in Mr Kerr's commercial room on Wednesday evening last, there being about twelve members present. . Mr Baker was voted to the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, and the balance sheet adopted. The balance sheet showed a deficit of several pounds, and a long discussion ensued as to best means to- adopt to free the club of debt and also place it on a better footing. It. was finally decided that socials be held during the winter, the first to take place on Thursday evening next. It was resolved that the Committee wait upon Mr J. T. Hetet and ascertain to exact position of the club in respect to the ground they were at present occupying. The election of officers for the ensuing year was then proceeded with, Mr J, T. Hetet again being elected president, while Mr Baker was allotted the secretarial duties;- The committee consists of the following : Mrs Julian, Misses Kerr, Bond, Fleming, Messrs Archer, Boles, Mackenzie, Smith and Turner.

The subscription for the following year was fixed at gent's lOs 6d, ladies ss.
