Maniapoto Rugby Union.

A meeting of the committee of the above Union met on Saturday evening- last, to discuss matters in connection with the Union,ih-rMr?"Kerr's commercial room, when there were present: Messrs McCardle (in. the chair), Mordaunt, Hira, O'Neill, Elliott and Power. On the motion of Mr Elliott, seconded by Mr Mordaunt, it was decided that a third round' be played in the cup fixtures, and also in the third round they meet as in the first. Several new members were registered from the three clubs taking part in the Union matches. A communication was read from the secretary of the Waikato Rugby Union, stating that there was little chance of affiliation with that body, and it was finally decided to affiliate with the Auckland Rugby Union' The referee in the Te Kuiti-Oparure match reported that he had ordered a Te Kuiti player of the field for misconduct, but did not want the Union to take the matter too seriously. It was decided to warn the offender, and if he came before the Union again he would be severely dealt with. The secretary was instructed to make inquiries re thecostiof printing by-law's. The following are the dates fixed for the matches in the third round :

June 22.—Oparure v. Te Kuiti, at Oparure. June 29. —Te Kuiti v. Piopio, at Te Kuiti.

July 6.—Piopio v. Oparure, at Piopio.

Te Kuiti v. Picpio

The following team will represent Te Kuiti in their match against Piopio, at the latter place, on" Saturday next: —

Full-back, Innis Kerr : three-quar-ters, Rem Rata, J. Hetet, F. Kerr; five-eights, Moir; half, D. Hetet; forwards, H. Vau.se, T. Ngaronga, H. Turner, Guilford, Hikaka, Keeley, Searancke, F. Gemming, Wharihi. Emergencies, Tuheka, Wilkinson, D. Turner. , . - ■-..
