Sam Knhui was charged with aiding and abettin,:.', in the commission oi a crime by counselling some person to procure fur him a bottle of whisky. —Convicted and fined 20s, and costs £l 2s 6d.

Hirewine, on a similar charge, was convicted and ordered to pay costs, £l 10s.

A charge against Hiri King, for the same offence, was withdrawn on the application of the police. Heneri Werahiko, otherwise Brooks, was charged with theft, at Kawhotea, of one pair of boots and an oilskin overcoat value 345, the property of William Hughes, and on a further charge with theft of a gun, valued at 50s, the property of Arthur Stewart. —Convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, the defendent promising to reside with his people instead of leading the wandering life he had lived in the past. Tawa Tawa Hemara was charged with being found on licensed premises during the currency of a prohibition order. —Mr Lewis appeared for defendant and pleaded not guilty.—Adjourned till July 25th. Manaia was charged on three informations of supplying liquor to Maori women. —Adjourned to June 25th, at Te Awamutu Court. Mr Lewis appeared for defendant. Wehi Kite was charged with theft of a sack of chaff at Hangatiki, ithe property of Sutton Bros. —Convicted and ordered to pay 5s value of chaff, and £l 18s 6d costs.

May Jane Hollingshead v. Guthbert Hollinghead. — The defendant was charged with being guilty of persistent cruelty to his wife and having unlawfully deserted her and her three children. — Mr Lewis appeared for complainant, and Mr Hine for defendant. —After hearing a few remarks from Mr Hine, the complainant's . solicitor withdrew the charge. CIVIL CASES. Isaac and Solomon v. Edward Flavell. —Judgment for plaintiff by default for £3 3s id, and costs. Isaac and Solomon v. Manly Flavell. —Judgment for plaintiff by default for £lO 15s, and costs. John Ormsby v. Tutaki Ringitanga. —Claim, for £42 6s 5d. —Adjourned till July 25th. Ngahiwi te Kuri v. Mana Taumatangi.—Claim for £3 for horse sold to defendant. —Mr Franklin appeared for plaintiff. After hearing evidence, judgment was given for plaintiff for the amount claimed, with costs, £2 2s 6d.
