Judgment was given for the plaintiffs in the following civil cases : —J. and W. Ormsby v. Wade, claim £2 2s 3d and costs £1; Green and Colebrook (Mr Hine) v. Hohepa, claim £4 5s 6d and costs £l 18s 6d; C. J. Johnson (Mr Hine) v. G. Hetet. claim £7 14s iod and costs £1 8s 6d. A WAGGON DISPUTE. J. and W. Ormsby claimed the sum of £3 ios from Robert Chestnut, being balance due on a waggon "Sailtby plaintiffs for defendant. After hearing statements from both sides, His Worship decided to adjourn the case until next Court day, in order to have expert evidence as to whether the waggon was built acoording to instructions and specifications.
A first offender, who pleaded guilty to a charge of having sold a bottle of whisky, was fined £25, and had a prohibition order issued against him.
