The first issue of the School Journal has come to hand from the Minister of Education. The journal is published in three parts, each one containing matter suitable for the different classes. Thus, part one deals with subjects suitable for classes one and two, while part three is intended for the more advanced scholars in classes live and six. The material is well chosen and adapted for the purpose, and the journal is certainly a step in the direction of giving children a greater interest in New Zealand subjects, and matters of both current and literary interest.
