The contest for the Taranaki electorate promises to be very keen. Messrs H. Okey (Opposition), E. Dockrill (Government) and W. G. M alone (Independent Liberal) are the candidetes. Mr Gresham, dentist, has been on a visit to Te Kuiti during the week and is at present at Taumarunui, where he will remain duriug Friday and Saturday. After visiting Raurimu. Mr Gresham will return to Taumarunui on the Bth and Te Kuiti on the 9th, leaving again for Auckland the following day.
